Here it is – another monthly installment of what I hope will become your regular reading. The new year has been a busy one for us at TowJammerZ, right out of the box. It all began the first week of the year, when boat number seven came on board. After much deliberation, Geordie hand picked a Malibu Response LXi, Malibu’s newest and largest slalom specific boat. This particular model is loaded up with most available options and Monsoon power, and for those who are particular about speed control, standard PerfectPass Pro. It’ll be fitted with a Monster tower upon arrival, and a Malibu Wedge is standard. If the early “responses” to this boat at the Vancouver and Calgary boat shows are any indication, this baby’ll be hard to find in the showroom. Call us early to guarantee its availability for your special vacation this summer!

Speaking of the boat shows, boat show season for TowJammerZ started in early February in Vancouver at the Vancouver International Boat Show. We had a small booth at the Vancouver show, but it was loaded with stimulation for the senses. An assembled Monster tower hung overtop the booth, wakeboard videos and our own promotional video played regularly on our large TV set in the booth, and a Sony Playstation 2 gave visitors the opportunity to give “Unleashed-Shawn Murray” their best shot. A large dry erase board compared pricing for purchase vs. timeshare, which got lots of attention. The crowds in Vancouver waited for the weekend, but once they came, they didn’t stop coming! Initial attendance estimates were up 10-15% relative to last year, and enthusiasm for our product bubbled from visitors. Hats off to the BC Marine Trades Association for a superbly organized show!

From Vancouver we moved to Calgary the following week. We hit the Roundup Centre for our next show with a bang – complete with one of our boats. We elected to take our Malibu Wakesetter VLX to the show. We felt this boat best reflected the “average” boat in out fleet, which of course is anything but average. The galvanized trailer upon which it sits also made the winter drive over the Rogers Pass a little less noxious. The Calgary show opened Feb 12th with a beautifully waxed Malibu Wakesetter VLX in a 30 foot booth, with a shiny Monster tower hanging high overhead, and many of the other touches of the Vancouver show. The show attendees seemed to love the booth – they just kept coming! We had lots of information to unveil, particularly regarding our new and revolutionary boat timeshare program. The responses to timeshare were uniformly positive, with all parties responding with intrigue, if not firm interest.

So in closing, I thought it pertinent to describe the timeshare program in detail. With the exception of The Rat, all boats in the TowJammerZ fleet will now be offered for timeshare (and presently, all are offered for rental). Boats are collected into three groupings, essentially based upon size and value. Within each group, timeshare is booked a week at a time, for as few or as many weeks each year as desired. Weeks are divided into seven price levels (denoted by colors), the most desirable mid-summer weeks assigned the highest value, with early or late season weeks assigned costs as low as about 35% of mid-summer costs. Desired price periods are hand picked by the leaser, as few or many as desired, with increasing discounts for each additional week booked. Specific times desired for the entire three-year lease can be designated at the time of purchase, or left as a general color booking to be specifically designated as desired. The real beauty of the program, in our opinion, is the ability to use any boat in the group for each week chosen, as available of course. Additionally, weeks can be traded among participants, or time can be placed into a pool for mixing and matching at a later date. The low cost, versatility, and high level of service provided will provide a boating experience that we feel will surpass boat ownership for the vast majority of potential boat buyers, and will provide significant cost savings (minimum 30%) for those who would otherwise rent. The timeshare program is offered only for a three-year duration, but is fully renewable for those interested in lease long-term. A money back guarantee is offered if we don’t meet your satisfaction after the first week’s use. Contact us if you’re interested in more information regarding this breakthrough program.

Next on the agenda? A little break from the boat show circuit, followed by the Edmonton Boat and Sportsmen’s show from March 11-14th. Come see our booth, and try your hand at Shawn Murray-Unleashed!! Talk to you in March, either here at N&V, or at the show- be safe!
